Obituary MR J. D. CLARK

<New Zeaiana Press association) AUCKLAND, July 5.

“The kiwis’ friend,” Mr James David Clark, an Opotiki chemist, who in the last 10 years has looked after more than 20 of the birds injured by dogs or in traps, died in the Opotiki Hospital on Thursday. He was 70. Mr Clark had official sanction to hold and care for injured kiwis. He sent them, when recovered, to zoos and farms in New Zealand and overseas.

He is survived by his wife and two daughters.
