WORD BIBLE TRUTH OF GOD
CHRISTADELPHIAN . LECTURE bible hall, Madras street (near Tuam street) ’SUNDAY, 7 FJL
Subject: THE SERMON ON THE MOUNT, THE DISCIPLES GUIDE TO
The Sermon on the Mount is likened unto the elixir of life. For. said Jesus, “the words that I speak unto you, they are spirit, and they are life." Multitudes then and through each succeeding generation have been guided, comforted, and felt the power and wisdom of those wondrous words. The Christ of God here declares wtoo are the blessed of God. Who are the salt of the earth; the light of the world. That the meek shall Inherit the earth, and the merciful shall obtain mercy. The peacemakers shall be called the children of God, and the pure in heart shall see God.
The Christian is exhorted to suffer wrongs, to love even his enemies, to labour after perfectness. To seek first the Kingdom of God and His righteousness, to have faith, praying always, to have nd anxiety for the things of tomorrow.
Gods law of life is service, and love which in the end brings eternal life.
