HARNISH AND JORDAN
National Group Purchased (New Zealand Prost Auoclation) , AUCKLAND, jyly 2. Hamish ami Jordan, Ltd., Aucklahd, has bought the complete shareholding of New Zealand Venetian Blinds, Ltd., Auckland, National of California, Ltd., Auckland, and National ot California (5.1.), Ltd., Dunedin, for an undisclosed price. Announcing the move today, the directors of Harnish and Jordan, Ltd. stated that it Is intended to continue merchandising the Venetian blinds manufactured by Harnish and Jordan and National under their existing brand names. The Natfonal group, which was established in 1947, has factories in Auckland, Wellington and Dunedin, Capital of New Zealand Venetian Blinds, Ltd., is £5OOO, that of National of California, Ltd., is £lOOO, and that of National of California (S.l.)t Ltd., is £5OOO in £1 shares paid to 14s. All are private* companies. Hamish and Jordan. Ltd., which converted to a public company two years ago, has factories in Auckland, Hamilton, Nelson, Christchurch and Invercargill. In addition to Venetian blinds, the company manufactures or distributes aluminium awnings; chain firescreens, folding doors, portable barbecues, and other products.
