The move for the reserve price system, which would lei growers fix the minimum price * they would accept for their clip, was initiated* by three Queensland district associations—Central aijd Northern Maranoa, and South West Mr F. Spencer Smith introduced the resolution, which he said could bring about a national policy change by giving a lead to other State associations. The new U.G.A. president (Mr P. Bell) said: “It is high time that the woolgrowers of Queensland gave a lead on this."
