CLOCHES...
These miniature greenhouses have come to stay, and hundreds of them are in use in Canterbury. They are now almost past the experimental stage, and they are being used extensively for market gardening. Many private gardeners use them regularly for the production of early tomato, pea and lettuce crops, and find them profitable, shifting them from one crop to another.
