DRESSMAKING PRIZE
Holiday In Fiji
When Mrs W. C. Carberry left by air this week for the tropical holiday she won in a dressmaking contest sponsored by a city shop, she had the added thrill of taking along a resort wardrobe which was part of the Prize- . Her' travelling ensemble was a junior fdgvy linen dress with a jacket of white and navy dog's tooth checks, a white model fur felt hat and red accessories. Matching suitcases of red and white material were provided.
In her suitcases she had packed a new bathing suit of black strapless design, an "Empire” cocktail dress of moss green satin with the hemline 2in below, the knee and several other'
stylish items of clothing. The suit which won Mrs Carberry her trip appeared in public for the first time since the contest, on the model for whom it was made. Miss Isobel Campbell, who wore it to the Christ chuYch Airport to see her friend off. Also saying goodbye with mixed feelings was Mrs Carberry’s four-year-old son, taken to the airport by his father. Mrs Carberry will spend 10 days in Fiji.
