Personal Items Vice-Regal
The Governor-General (Viscount Cobham) and Lady Cobham arrived in Christchurch by air early yesterday afternoon. Their only official engagement was the British Lions-New Zealand Universities Rugby match at Lancaster Park. They will return to Wellington by air this morning
Sir Harold Jeffreys, who until last year was Plumian professot of astronomy and experimental philosophy at Cambridge University. arrived in Auckland from North America yesterday accompanied by Lady Jeffreys. He is in New Zealand at the invitation of the University of New Zealand.
