At Guildford. Surrey 218 and ont for 42 beat Sussex 153 and 102 (J Laker seven for 38) by nine wickets At Manchester: Lancashire 304 and four for 226 (C. Washbrook 54. K Grieves 114 not out) drew with Glamorgan 335 (W. Wooler 43. A Watkins 120)
