NOTICE is hereby given that in exercise of the powers conferred on it by the "Counties Act, 1956," and the “Water Supply Act. 1908,” and amendments thereto, the Selwyn County Council at a Special Meeting on June 26. 1959, passed a resolution by way of Special Order to make a By-law to be known as the Selwyn County Council Water Supply By-law, 1959, No. The object and purport of the proposed By-law 18 to repeal the scale of Water Charges for the Hororata Water-race District as set out in Selwyn Ccxmty Council Water Supply By-law. 1957, No. 1, and substitute therefore a new scale of charges,as follows:—When the unimproved value of the land. Is leas than £7 per acre, the charge shall be eight and a half pence per acre, where the unimproved value 1* £7 and less than £l3 per acre the charge shall be eleven pence per acre, where the unirrtproved value is £l3 and more per acre the charge shall be one shilling per acre.
