Wellington Building Sold For £91,000

(New Zealand Press Association) WELLINGTON, July 1.

One of Wellington’s best-known commercial buildings, Briscoe E. W. Mills, was sold today by public auction for £91,000. The purchasers are the Ocean Trading and Wholesale Company. Ltd., a manufacturing, importing, and exporting firm. The new owners will occupy the property for their own purposes when vacant possession becomes available on May 31, 1960. The building is on the intersection of Jervois quay, Hunter street, and Victoria street.
