CONFIDENCE IN TASMAN

Address By Reed’s Chairman

(N.Z. Press Association^Copyright) LONDON, June 80.

The confidence which the board of Albert E. Reed and Company always had in the Tasman Pulp and Paper Company was now proving flilly justified, the A. E Reed chairman (Lord Cornwallis> told shareholders at the annual meeting in London. The British company holds 25 per cent, of the equity in Tasman Pulp. “We can look forward to a progressive development in this great project although, partly because of exceptional depreciation charges and partly because of major Initial problems which always have to be faced in launching a project of this size, it may be some time before we can expect an income return in the way of a dividend."
