Members See Officials ’ ' I In Wellington
(New Zealand Press Association) WELLINGTON. July 1. A four-man Pakistan trade delegation which arrived at Auckland yesterday on a five-day trade promotion tour of the Dominion has high hopes of better Australia-New Zealand-Pakistan shipping services after talks in Sydney. The leader of the delegation, Mr Gaha C. Riza, who is a joint secretary of the Ministry of Commerce. said the group had been promised direct services every other trip. The mission which has brought samples of Pakistan’s products, mainly sporting goods, met the Minister of Customs (Mr Board), in Wellington today. * The other members of the delegation are Mr Mohammed Siddique Dawood, a prominent industrialist, Mr Mohammed Russian, chairman of the export council for sports goods, and Mr F. H. Choudbury, commercial secretary of the High Commission for Pakistan in Australia and New Zealand. Mr Riza said in Wellington today that the delegation hoped for increased trade between the two countries. Medium and coarse textiles produced in Pakistan could be sold competitively in New Zealand. The mission today conferred with departmental, officers and also with officials of the Chamber of Commerce . and the Manufacturers’ Federation.
