VISITING THE DEAF

Important developments have been taking place in methods of training deaf children. Two years ago the Education Department established an itinerant diagnostic .and guidance service for pre-school and older deaf children and their parents. Four specialist visiting teachers of the deaf have been engaged in this work. Approval has now been given for the staff to be increased to eight.
