NEW SHOOTING TROPHY.—Captain J. T. Shaw holds a finely-carved Maori figure which has been presented to the Ist Battalion, the New Zealand Regiment, by the 22nd Battalion, 2nd N.Z.E.F. Association. To honour two noted 22nd Battalion soldiers, Brigadier L. W. Andrew, V.C., and Lieutenant K. Elliott, V.C., the figure has been named the 22nd Battalion Victoria Cross Trophy. It will be the prize for competitive shooting within the battalion’s support group which is commanded by Captain Shaw, a former platoon commander in the 22nd Battalion.
