Fatally Injured In Collision
(New Zealand Press Association) AUCKLAND, June 14. The driver of a car involved in a collision with a light van on the Great South road, two miles and a half north of Huntly, at 9.50 a.m. today died in Waikato Hospital this afternoon. He was: William Parsonage, aged 74, of 83A Harris street Huntly West.
Mr Parsonage was a member of the Huntly Borough Council and until his retirement, was superintendent of the Glen Afton colliery.
Cyclist Struck By Car
Franklin Rodolph Agassiz, aged 40, a proof reader, of 9 Orric crescent, Walnoni, suffered head injuries when the bicycle he was riding was struck by a car at the corner of Linwood avenue and Gloucester street about 6.5 p.m. yesterday. He was taken by St John ambulance to the Christchurch Public Hospital and admitted. His condition was reported last evening as fairly satisfactory.
Injured By Tractor (New Zealand Press Association) GISBORNE. June 12. A Gisborne tractor driver, Mr Walter Wells, was pinned for three hours behind one of the wheels of a tractor which rolled over twice down a vertical bank and landed on its wheels near Ruatoria. He suffered fractured riba, and a broken collarbone.
