THEFT OF CAR
Three Youths Sent To Gaol
(New Zealand Press Association) AUCKLAND, June 11.
Gaol terms were imposed on three youths aged 20 in the Auckland Magistrate’s Court today for stealing a late-model car and removing the wheels, gearbox, radio, and air filter and fitting them to a similar car owned by one of them.
Mr F McCarthy. S.M., described the Case as a very bad one. The youths, who admitted the offence last week, were Neil Bradford McQuarters. a driver. Gary Richarj Hansen, a workman, and Colin George Monohan. a contractor. McQuarters and Hansen were sentenced to nine months’ imprisonment with a year’s probation to follow, and Monohan was sent to gaol for 11 months, to be followed by a year’a probation.
