Coldstream Guards

Sir, —May I thank your correspondent, “Coldstreamer,” for his compliment to me; also for his interesting note on Lieu-tenant-General Sir Alfred Codrington, K.C.V.0., K.C.8., and his tactics after the South African campaign. He will be interested to learn that Captain Sir Christopher Codrington, Bt., an officer of my regiment, was at an old comrades’ dinner in London on May 2.—Yours, etc., MEREBIMUR. May .30, 1959.
