IMPORTANT: All persons holding a driving license are requested to examine it, to ensure that such license will be current after June 30, 1959. Holders of licenses previously issued by Selwyn County Council may renew same by post, provided the current license is enclosed, together with the prescribed fee of 5s for each year of renewal and a stamped addressed envelope for return. Licenses may be renewed for any number of years up to five. Personal application must be made by drivers required to produce a medical certificate or holding licenses issued by any other Local Authority. Only Medical Certificates issued by Doctors J. W. Avery and D. W. Eason, of Darfield, E. Candy of Rakaia, W. G. Voickman of Leeston, and J. M. Louisson of Christchurch, will be accepted for the issue of licenses.
