LOBURN DOG TRIALS
Close Contest In Open Section
D. J. Haines, with Terry, won the open section of the class 3, huntaway event, at the opening day of the Loburn Collie Club’s trials yesterday. The contest was a close one with only one point separating the first three competitors. The events were conducted under adverse conditions, with steady rain falling all day. and the ground being extremely wet. Although the conditions made the sheep difficult to handle, some good work was seen. Class 1, the long pull, was begun yesterday, and is expected to be completed by tonight. The judge is Mr L. J. Briggs, of Amberley. Results:—
