COMMERCIAL Sharemarket Active And Buoyant
Markets were again very active on the Christchurch Stock Exchange yesterday. Prices were more buoyant tha non Tuesday. Colonial Sugar (Sydney Register), N.Z. Refrigerating, Andrews and Beaven and B.H.P. were firmer than in previous local business. Reid Murray shares sold at 10s 5d unchcanged, and at 10s 6d. The contributing shares were firmer in sales at Bs. Ampol rights, Clyde Industries, Cyclone Fence and Gate and Waltons were easier.
Christchurch Gas eased on quotation. Lane, Walker, Rudkin, Wellington Woollen, and National .Electrical had firmer buyers. Forest Products were wanted at 255, with sellers 6d higher.
