Women's Hockey

Because of finance the Canterbury Women’s Hockey Association will send only one team to the Dominion tournament at Timaru this season. The tournament will be held at Whangarei next year, and a long-term plan is necessary to ensure that sufficient finance will be available to send a Canterbury team north. Those umpires who passed the New Zealand grading examinations and young player-umpires will be able to attend the fortnightly coaching evenings this season.
