Fair’s Fair Has Narrow Lead Fair’s Fair was shading Summertime for first place on the sire’s list this summer after the racing on May 20\ / . \ Fair’s Fair wps given a gqod it&rt for the season when Spring Fair won the - Grand ' Steeplechase last August. - Fair’s Fair is also the sire of the good staying three-year-old Lawful and the brilliant first-sea-son performer Gayfair. Summertime has , not had a champion to represent him, but he has sired many useful horses. Up to May 2 his stock had won 61 races since the start of the season—l 6 more than the stock of Fair’s Fair. Twelve sires were credited with earnings of £20,000 and up. Tenth is Dogger Bank, which will stand in Canterbury next season Knight’s Romance has done well to get in the first 12, for his oldest horses racing are only four.
