CHANGE OF TIME FOR MEETING

Move Defeated At Council

(New Zealand Press Association) NAPIER, May 12. A suggestion that the New Zealand Basketball Association’s annual council meeting be held in August in conjunction with the New Zealand basketball tournament, instead of in May as at present, was defeated by 86 votes to 72 at the council’s meeting in Napier today. The Auckland association, which put forward the remit, did so on the grounds that added expense was incurred by associations in sending delegates to both the council meeting and the tournament.
