Increase Of £6922 In Funds

An increase in revenue of £6922 on last year was noted by ihe retiring Grand President of the Grand Lodge of the Canterbury United Ancient Order of Druids (Brother V. J. Henry) in his report to the sixty-ninth annual session of the lodge last night. The lodge had paid out £13,768 by way of benefits to members during the year and funds now stand at £311,611.

The new medical scheme was working satisfactorily, there had been a return to social activities within the lodge, and there was a bright future for the recently formed Druids’ Sports Club. Officers elected were: Grand president. Brother S. D. Tarrant; grand vice-president, Brother K. L. Heney; grand guardian. Brother J. N. Havord; grand treasurer. Sister G. Hood: board of management, Brothers R. Harris, A. E. Lange, K. K. Pallridge, F. H. Britton, P. S. Corkin, L. M. Lambourne, L. H. Neale; judicial appeal committte. Brothers C. G. Jack, R. J. Roberts, R. H. Parker, H. B. Luxton, and E. J. Jury.
