R.C.A.F. Aircraft To Visit N.Z.
(N.Z. Press Association—Copyright) OTTAWA, May 6. Argus anti-submarine aircraft of the Royal Canadian Air Force will visit Australia and New Zealand later this year, the Canadian Defence Minister (Mr G. R. Pearkes) announced today. The visits probably would be made in September or October, he said. The number of planes to make the trip was not announced. The Canadian-built Argus is a land-based aircraft with a range of more than 4000 miles. It carries < depth charges, torpedoes and bombs.
