Waitaki Boys To Visit City
Forty-six schoolboys from the intermediate department of Waitaki Boys’ High School will spend the first week of their first-term holidays on an organised visit to ChristchuYch.
Their programme Is: Monday, travel to Christchurch; Tuesday, morning sports meeting at Heaton Intermediate School and a tour of Harewood airport in the afternoon; Wednesday, inspections of Lyttelton harbour in the morning, and of the Hinemoa and afternoon tea on board, indoor games at Heaton Intermediate School in the evening; Thursday, inspections of “The Press” in the morning and of the Kaiapoi Woollen Company in the afternoon; Friday, morning visit to Canterbury Museum, afternoon bus tour of Christchurch, evening picture party; Saturday return to Oamaru.
