Fined For Theft Of Jacket

(New Zealand Press Association) WELLINGTON, May 5. While driving Kala Hetau Nicholas, aged 23, storeman, in his taxi ; the driver noticed that the jacket ; Nicholas was wearing was the same as the one stolen from him ; three weeks previously, according to the police prosecutor, Mr C. J. i Smillie, in the Wellington Magistrate’s Court yesterday. He was prosecuting Nicholas on a charge of the theft of a jacket . valued at £7. The accused pleaded 1 guilty to the charge and was fined £5 by Mr J. B. Thomson, S.M.
