t Russian Disagrees With Cockcroft MELBOURNE. May 5. A visiting Russian scientist. Professor L. I. Sedov, president of the Soviet Inter-Planetary Commission, said in Melbourne today that he disagreed with a statement by the British nuclear scientist, Sir John Cockcroft, that Russia and the United States were spending too much money on space travel. “You can’t stop history," said Professor Sedov.
