CADUCEUS TO RETURN

The champion pacer Caduceus will not remain in Sydney for the Harold Park Invitation Race on Friday week. His part-owner, Mr D. Moore, has booked accommodation for Caduceus to leave Sydney in the Monowai on Saturday. A cancellation will be made only if next Friday’s Lord Mayor’s Cup is further postponed. The £5OOO race was to have been decided last Saturday night.
£6,000.000 Hotel for Bangkok The Hilton Hotel chain is to build a nine-storey hotel in Bangkok. The hotel, with 400 rooms, will be built near the riverside at a cost of about £6.600,000. It will be called Phanni Hilton, after Queen Ramphai Phanni. who will be the principal shareholder. —Reuter.
