British Property To Be Returned

(N.Z. Press Association—Copyright) CAIRO, April 12. A spokesman for the Egyptian Sequestrator-General said today that the properties of 10 British firms, including the Shell Oil Company, wmuld be handed over within 10 days, the semi-official Middle East News Agency reported, according to American Associated Press.

The news agency quoted the spokesman as saying that up to today the Sequestrator-General’s office had received 277 applications from Britons or British concerns to lift sequestration orders on their properties. The orders were imposed at the time of the Suez crisis in 1956.
