BREWERY DRIVERS BACK AT WORK

Beer Delivered To Auckland Hotels

(New Zealand Press Association) AUCKLAND, April 13. Beer flowed again into the cellars of many Auckland hotels today when drivers employed by New Zealand Breweries, Ltd., returned to work.

The 40 drivers, who went on strike at 1 p.m. on Friday in protest against the dismissal of one of their job delegates, returned to work at 8.15 a.m., pending negotiations between employers and the Drivers’ Union, the Brewery Workers’ Union, and the Hotel Workers’ Union.

For one or two Auckland hotels the deliveries were needed.

The Mon Desir at Takapuna ran out of draught beer on Saturday and patrons were forced to switch to bottled beer. This was served in Boz glasses forcing the hotel to lose Is on each bqttle.
