(N.Z Press Association —Coovrtphfi BRISBANE. April 13 A former Brisbane jockey. W Gower, here on a holiday visit from New Zealand, was taken to hospital after a track accident at Doomben today. Gower was involved in a collision in which his mount. Lady Brownlee, was so badly injured internally she was later destroyed. Lady Brownlee collided with Bifred. ridden by an apprentice. P. Walsh.

Gower, who rode 17 winners in New Zealand, came back to Brisbane for a holiday visit to his mother, and decided to try his luck on the track while he was here.

The extent of his injuries is not yet known.
