CHURCHILL TO VISIT U.S.

Guest At White House WASHINGTON. April 11. Sir Winston Churchill is to make a brief visit to the United States next month. He will be the guest of President and Mrs Eisenhower. Sir Winston Churchill will be at the White House on May 4, 5 and 6. On May 7, he will move to the British Embassy for one night before leaving Washington. A White House announcement described Sir Winston Churchill’s visit as being of an informal nature and said that no detailed arrangements had yet been made. It was not immediately known whether Lady Churchill would accompany him. There is a possibility that Sir Winston Churchill will spend a short time in New York after visiting the President. If he does, he may stay with his old friend. Mr Bernard Baruch. Sir Winston Churchill will fly from Britain to New York and will travel immediately to Washington. He is not expected to have any public engagements while he is in the United States.
