COMPENSATION COURT
Judgment for the plaintiff, Ernest Thomas Freeman (Mr B. A. Barrer), for compensation for an injury suffered to his spine during his employment, against the New Zealand Farmers’ Cooperative Association of Canterbury, Ltd. (Mr H. S. Thomas) is given in a reserved decision by Judge Dalglish. The case has been adjourned until the June session of the Compensation Court at Christchurch to hear further argument from counsel in order to fix the amount of the claim.
A claim by Desmond Francis Stanley Cooke (Mr Cadenhead) against Wilkins and Davies Construction Company, Ltd. (Mr B. McClelland) for compensation for a hernia developed or aggravateo by an accident at work on February 20, 1956, is dismissed in a reserved judgment given by Judge Dalglish.
