"The Press" Special Service DUNEDIN, April 9. Relation and® Gay King were two of the most impressive trialists at Wingatui this morning when the final gallops were staged for the Beaumont Racing Club's meeting. Salisi bury. King Cassock and Sea Wings I also showed up in their work. Relation (B. P. Kennedy) and Gay King (K. J. Schubert) were together over six furlongs on the outside of the course proper in Imin 19 3-ssec. after running the first three furlongs in 39sec. Both horses completed their task well.

Panel iB P. Kennedy) and Smart (K. J. Schubert) were together over the same ground in Imin 2u 2-ssec. the first three furlongs in 38 2-ssec. They were not extended at the finish and could have improved on their eifort.

The trials were held under ideal conditions The course proper was hard and most of the fast work was held on the plough. On the plough King Cassock (R. Crowe) gave a pleasing display to hold Gay Mood (K. J. Schubert) and Count Aven (B. P. Kennedy) at the end of six furlongs in Imin 20 1-5 sec, the first three furlongs in the smart time of 38 2-ssec. King Cassock will be ridden in the Junction High-weight by G. E. Lowry. Salisbury (H. T. Anderton) appeared to be galloping easily to cover five furlongs in Imin 6 2-ssec. the first two furlongs in 25 2-ssec. Lady Cortauld (H. T. Anderton) had a pull in the weights when she worked clear of Mary Dee (H J. Powell) and Wildair (R. J. Skelton) over the same ground in Imin 6 4-ssec, tiie last three furlongs in 41sec, but she was galloping exceptionally well and was going away at the finish.

Sea Wings (R Crowe) was galloping freely to hold Royal Canal (H. J. Powell) by half a length at the end of four furlongs in 53 2-ssec, the opening furlong in 12 l-ssec. The Trek (K. Hooper) completed his work by dashing home the last three furlongs in 39 3-ssec. A candidate for the Edie Memorial, the hack sprint, the Midday Sun gelding looks particularly well.
