COMMERCIAL Breweries Weak, Most Other Shares Steady
The breweries section was weak on the Christchurch Stock Exchange yesterday. Ballins Breweries, Dominion Breweries and N.Z. Breweries all changed hands at prices below those last accepted in Christchurch. Dominion Breweries have been particularly unstable in price this year, fluctuating between 70s and 83s. Yesterday’s business was done at 75s 6d.
Coles and Reid Murray also sold at lower prices. Clyde Industries and New Zealand Forest Products were taken higher. The market for most other shares was steady.
