£105,000 Hall Opened At Lower Hutt
(New Zealand Press Association) WELLINGTON, April 8. Lower Hutt’s new Horticultural Hall—built in less than a year at a total cost of £105,000 —was opened this afternoon by the Governor-General (Lord Cobham). Nearly 1000 guests and public spectators watched the ceremony, which was preceded by a marchpast by the Hutt Valley High School Pipe Band.
