Responsibility For Arrangements
Three men. apart from the principal officials of the Billy Graham Crusade, have been primarily responsible for the practical prearations which made arrangements run so smoothly for eight days. , ,
Mr G. Joyce has headed the team of 750 ushers, who directed huge crowds without one hitch, and took each collection in little more than a minute.
Mr J. E. Davies has headed the reservations committee which has distributed tickets to many centres *to seat at least 24.000 on the last two nights and 5000 to 12.000 at other meetings. Mr John Calder has been in charge of arrangements for seating, lighting, sound system, platform, choir stand, and many other provisions. Rearrangement of the park for Dr. Graham's meetings took 100 men two days, women’s groups have attended two or three hours every day to arrange flowers, and huge teams will dismantle everything today to clear the park for the inter-secondary school sports. The Bank of New Zealand every night has opened specially to receive the offerings.
