After considerable discussion, it was decided to forward a remit on the scrum law, moved by Mr G. Blazey, as follows:—‘‘That the, scrum law be altered to allow for the ball to be hooked by the fourth foot only, and that the prop forward be allowed to follow the ball in from the half-back.”

Speaking to the motion Mr L. Huston said it was the international referees who should be showing the lead as they Were not enforcing the law as the rule book provided. The meeting confirmed the recommendation from the annual general meeting that the senior championship begin on April 4. Nominations for senior teams will close on Thursday, March 26. Other open grade football will begin on Saturday, April 18. and nominations fOr these grades will close on Monday, April 13. . The following committees were elected for the season:— Grounds: Mr E. Claridge (convener). Postponement: Messrs L. R. Huston, M. Pahi and D. C. Wilson. Match: Messrs M. Pahi and: D. C. Wilson. Publicity: Mr G. Blazey (convener). Uniform custodian: Mr A. E. Clark.
