Professionals PlayIn Dunedin

(New Zealand Press Association) DUNEDIN, March 9. None of the matches in the professional tennis series played at Tahuna Park today reached the standard set by the original Kramer troupe. K. Rosewall had moments when his ground strokes were working beautifully, but he had periods, particularly in the third set, when his play lacked backbone. F. A. Sedgman, although appearing to have lost some of his former speed and flexibility was still a master of the game. M. A. Trabert took some time to settle down, but showed his mettle when facing heavy odds. M. G. Rose removed some of the poor opinion formed of him on his last visit and gave full value to the rather poor gallery of spectators. Results were:—Sedgman beat

Rose, 10-8, 4-6, 10-8; Trabert beat Rose wall, 3-6* 6-4, 6-2; Trabert and Rosewall beat Sedgman and Rose, 9-7.
