METHODIST CHURCH FLOWER SHOW

Record entries were received for the North Beach Methodist flower and vegetable show held recently. The Challenge Cup for the most points in the show was won by Mrs Henshaw. Trophies were won by the following.—Champion bloom, Mrs Burleigh; pot plants, Mrs Montgomery; dahlias, Mrs H. Skinner; cut blooms, Mrs J. H. Lord; floral art, Mrs Henshaw (novice), Mrs Young, W. Dixey, Yvonne le Comte and Lyn Shatford, Donald Lord; cooking, Mrs Whiting, Yvette White and Anne Baldock; home produce, Mrs Whiting; fruit and vegetables, Mr Grafton.

Inter-town Helicopter Service.— The municipal authorities in Lugano are hoping soon to inaugurate a helicopter service with Milan. A trial flight in 20 minutes has already been made with pas** sengera.—Reuter.
