Town Clerks Elect Officers

(New Zeaiana Press Association) NAPIER, March 4.

The new president of the New Zealand Institute of Town Clerks and Municipal Treasurers, whose annual conference ended in Hastings yesterday afternoon, is Mr I. C. Webb, Town Clerk of One Tree Hill. He is the third Aucklander to hold the post, the other having been Mr T. W. M. Ashby (1946-47) and Mr T. R. Congalton (1954-55-56). Other officers elected were: Immediate past-president, Mr N. E. Clemens (Greymouth); vicepresidents, Messrs N. L. Norman (Onehunga), and H. Childs (Ashburton); committee, Messrs L. A. Best (Invercargill), M. S. Duckworth (Wellington), A. M. P. Hall (Palmerston North), W. E. McCullough (Nelson), and M. J. Strange (Te Kuiti); honorary treasurer, Mr W. K. Wilby (Palmerston North); honorary auditor, Mr D. F. Glenny (Wanganui); honorary secretary, Mi* N. L. Norman (Onehunga).
