£24,582 GIFT TO R.S.A.

Residue Of Estate Handed Over (New Zealand Press. Association) AUCKLAND,* March 4. Cash and gilt-edged securities worth £24,582 14s, the residue of the estate of Mr George Booth, a Manurewa farmer who died in April, 1952, were given today to the New Zealand Returned Services’ Association.

The president of the Auckland association (Mr R. D. Dowie) signed for the amount from the Guardian Trust and Executors Company of New Zealand, Ltd. The money will be known as the George Booth Trust and will be used to help World War II personnel who, through service have become indigent or in ill health, whether they are members of the R.S.A. or not. Under the terms of the will the fund has to be expended by December 31, 1982.
