The oldest racehorse owner m the world, according to J. Falr-fax-Blakeborough, in the “Sporting Life" (London), is William Lorenzo Christie, who reached 100 years last December. “He gave up riding and hunting two or three years ago, but he still attends fixtures of the Bedale Hounds.” says the article. Mr Christie registered his racing colours while he was an undergraduate at Oxford, and in them he rode winners in six countries. Some of his victories were scored in western Canada, perhaps 75 years ago.
