ROTARY DISTRICT CONFERENCE
450 Members Meet At Lower Hutt (New Esaiand Pres, Association) WELLINGTON, March 1. More than 450 members of Rotary dubs in .thd - southern half of the North Island, the 294th Rotary district, met over the week-end at Lower Hutt to the annual district conference. A party of six young American and Canadian men, recipients of Rotary overseas travel. awards, and their leader. Dr. Lyman Partridge, of Washington, attended the conference. Another overseas visitor was Dr. A. W. S. Thevathasan, of Singapore, personal representative of the president of Rotary International. He was accompanied by his wife.
