ART EXHIBITION IN LIBRARY

Considerable Interest Shown

Considerable interest has already been shown in the Floral Week exhibition of paintings in the Canterbury Public Library hall. It is organised by the University of Canterbury’s adult education department. For the most part the’exhibition shows some of the work carried out in adult education classes held in the University district, in such places as Southbridge, Kaikoura, Rangiora, Albury, Waimate, and others. At the same time, a small number of painters who are resident in Christchurch have been invited to participate. They have recent connexions with the department either as tutors or students.
