INVITED TO TURKEY

Gardeners Who Aided Premier ISTANBUL, February 26. The Mayor of Istanbul (Mr Kemal Aygun) has Invited to Turkey the three English gardeners who gave first aid to the Turkish Prime Minister (Mr Menderes) after the air crash at Gatwick, Surrey, in which 14 persons .died. It was announced earlier that the City Fathers of Istanbul had decided to invite for a summer holiday in Turkey Mr and Mra Anthony Bailey, of Oaklands Park Farm, who looked after the Prime Minister in their home, 200 yards away from the crash, until an ambulance arrived.

Mr Menderes returned with tears in his eyes to a tumultuous welcome today, nine days after escaping death in the crash, the American Associated Press reported.
