Volunteers For Hospital Plane Trips "The Press" Special Service DUNEDIN; February 18. Senior St John Ambulance Brigade members will be really shaken up when Otago Aero Club pilots take them on flights at the end of this' month. The flights will be part of the trainini for which 40 ambulance personne have voluteered. The ambulance brigade envisages a pool of trained men and women who can be called on to accompany patients being transferred from one hospital to another. Phase one of the training is to see how well the volunteers can withstand the rigours of a rough flight. If they fail they will withdraw from the course. Lectures will make up most of the training.
