Sack Dresses Not New In China
The sack-lini shape introduced a season or two ago, whether approved of or disapproved of, took the Western fashion world by storm. Women In China wondered what all the fuss was about because it was not new to them. They have worn a sack-like traditional dress called cheongsam for years. In Singapore, since the West decreed the Back fashion, Chinese women have modified the cheongsam into a modern* sack by extending the classic slit at the side seam a few inches higher towards the thigh.
