COMMERCIAL Prices Easier On Quiet Market
- Business was slack on the Christchurch Stock Exchange yesterday, with only 3200 shares changing hands. Australian-domiciled shares were in good business, with 2900 being sold, against 800 of local stocks. Prices were uniformly easier.
Ampol were firmer in a sale of 100 at 17s 4d, which was 2d more than the price for the last parcel of Ampol stock traded locally. Email, Reid Murray Holdings and Whitcombe and Tombs were Easier.
Australian Consolidated Industries, McKenzies, G. J. Coles and Woolworths were unchanged.
